meeting at your church. Ephesians
4 : 11-13.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets, and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of
the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ: Isaiah 6 :
8. Also I heard the voice of
the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then
said I, Here am I; send me.Roman 10 :
13 -15. For
whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How
then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how
shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall
they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they
be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that
preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
1 Timothy 3:1-7 This is a true saying, If a man desire
the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be
blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior,
given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, no striker, not
greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; one that
ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all
gravity; for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he
take care of the church of God? Not a novice, lest being lifted up with
pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a
good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the
snare of the devil.
